The strength of Race Tech cars comes from the real world racing expertise of its founder and President, Russ Farmer and now with the PDRA national championship with son, Kellan Farmer. At the recent PDRA national awards ceremony in Indianapolis, Kellan Farmer was honored as 2019 PDRA Elite Top Dragster World Champion. In accepting the award, Kellan highlighted his year-long journey starting with a win at Galot in a new Race Tech nitrous powered Top Dragster. With a 550 point lead after the Ohio race, his year could have come to an abrupt end when he crashed the nitrous car while testing. Finding himself in quite a bad spot from losing his car and having his confidence shaken, Kellan learned firsthand the comradery in racing as Phil Unruh allowed Kellan to borrow his new Race Tech Top Dragster powered by a twin turbo engine. Struggling to overcome anxiety following the crash, Kellan focused on endless hours of hard work and testing but failed to qualify at Darlington. Disappointed but resilient, Kellan and Russ focused on additional tuning and testing which resulted in some great passes at the VMP world finals resulting in being recognized as the 2019 PDRA Elite Dragster World Champion. At the awards ceremony, Kellan shared heartfelt appreciation to his Dad and Race Tech founder/CEO, Russ Farmer, along with all the sponsors who made his success possible.
